DETROIT (March 5, 2025) – The Rocket Classic is raising the bar for corporate entertainment at Detroit’s annual PGA TOUR event. This year, the tournament is unveiling enhanced packages in the Heritage Club, offering an elevated way to enjoy the action, while a new Monday pro-am is giving more golfers the rare opportunity to tee it up alongside PGA TOUR stars. “Through our first six years here in Detroit, the Rocket Classic has established itself as the city’s premier summertime sports and lifestyle event, as well as a fantastic avenue for those in the business community to entertain clients,” said Brad Lott, Chief Revenue Officer for the Rocket Classic. “We are excited to bring something fresh to the table this year with the Heritage Club and a new Monday pro-am that we have never offered before. We have already sold more than 80 percent of our inventory for the Heritage Club, and the feedback has been extremely positive with the Monday pro-am.”
The Heritage Club offers two unique options - access to shared spaces or an elevated experience in a reserved table setting, allowing golf fans to have their own dedicated space to enjoy the tournament and entertain guests in luxury. Premium food and beverages are included in both packages, as well as upgraded restrooms.
The Heritage Club overlooks holes 14-16 at Detroit Golf Club – also known as “AREA 313” - and is the epicenter of the action every year during the Rocket Classic. AREA 313 prides itself as being the most charitable three holes in golf. PGA TOUR players will compete to make an eagle, ace, birdie (3-1-3) on those holes during tournament play. The first golfer to achieve this feat across the four tournament rounds will trigger a $313,000 donation in his name split between a charity of his choice and the Rocket Classic’s “Changing the Course” initiative to end Detroit’s digital divide. Any time a player makes a 3 on hole 14, a 1 on 15 or a 3 on 16, Rocket will make a direct donation to Changing the Course. Since 2019, the Rocket Classic has contributed more than $9.9 million to local charitable organizations, including $5.9 million to Changing the Course.
The Monday (June 23) pro-am was added this year in response to demand exceeding supply for the traditional Wednesday pro-am. Guests can enjoy the opportunity to play 18 holes of golf along with a PGA TOUR player, with Detroit Golf Club set up under tournament conditions.
“Playing in a pro-am is one of the most unique experiences you can have as a sports fan, as you get to witness firsthand just how good the professionals are while navigating the same course as them and getting to feel what it’s like to be a pro for the day,” Lott said.
Pro-am packages are available for twosomes or foursomes, and include valet parking, carts and a caddy, food and beverage throughout the day, a premium gifting experience and a post-round reception. Additionally, pro-am players receive parking and grounds passes to enjoy the Rocket Classic Thursday-Sunday.

About the Rocket Classic
The Rocket Classic made history in 2019 as the first PGA TOUR event ever held in the city of Detroit and has continued to make a positive and lasting impact on the city and its residents through its multi-year “Changing the Course” campaign, established in 2020 to end the digital divide in Detroit and ensure digital accessibility for all city residents. The Rocket Classic was the most awarded event during the 2018-19 PGA TOUR season, being recognized for “Best Special Event” (then known as the AREA 313 Celebrity Challenge) and “Best Tournament Sales” as well as being honored with the first “Fair Way Award” for its diversity and inclusion initiatives. The Fair Way Award was bestowed upon the Rocket Classic again in 2023 and 2024. More information is available at RocketClassic.com and on Facebook, X and Instagram (@RocketClassic).
